Google Maps: Google Maps has made some changes in its rules in India, which will be implemented across the country from August 1, 2024 next month. The company has also reduced the charges taken in India by up to 70 percent. Apart from this, now Google Maps will charge for its service in Indian rupees instead of dollars. Google Maps has made changes in its rules at a time when Ola has launched its own navigation app in the market.
How will it affect common users
After reading this news, common users must have wondered whether they will have to pay money to use Google Maps. So there is no need to worry. Common users will not have to pay any kind of charges. Actually, Google Maps provides free service to common people. But the companies that use Google Maps in their business have to pay charges to Google Maps in exchange for the service. Google Maps has made changes to this and reduced the charges. Along with this, now Google will take payment in Indian Rupees instead of Dollars for navigation service.
Earlier, a monthly fee of 4 to 5 dollars was charged for providing Google Map navigation service in India. But after the change in rules, it has been reduced to 0.38 (31 rupees) to 1.50 dollars (125 rupees). While on one hand Google charges for its service, on the other hand, the service of Ola Map, which has recently entered the navigation market, can be used for free.
Bhavish Aggarwal has criticized Google’s new rules
